These diseases are often silent because they usually are not present with any symptoms until it is in the late or advanced stages. In the late or advanced stages of these diseases, treatment may not prevent complications or provide a cure and treatment will also be very costly. OUR PERSONALISED HEALTH SCREENING SERVICES
At Dr Chook Sports & Lifestyle Medical Centre, we do our best to ensure that you experience an efficient and hassle-free Health Screening procedure. Our medical centre provides a cosy and pleasant atmosphere where patients can momentarily put aside stress whilst being cared for by a dedicated team of healthcare professionals and staff.
Our Healthcare Officers will remind you of your health screening appointment one day before the actual health screening and specific Instructions (e.g. if fasting is required, etc) will be given prior to your appointment date to prepare you for the health screening.
At our centre, individual lockers are provided to store your personal belongings while you undergo the health screening procedures. You will be served a hot and light breakfast in the comfort of our cosy lounge after all the procedures, which require fasting are completed. We also have shower facilities, hair dryers and amenities available for your use within the privacy of our Centre.
You will always be attended to by the same doctor annually (for continuity reasons) and your preferred Doctor (either male or female) will personally interview you, perform physical examination on you, and take blood from you. The doctor will also personally conduct the Treadmill Exercise Stress Test for you if it is part of the health screening profile of your choice.
Most of the health screening procedures will be done within Orchard Building and procedures such as X-rays, ultrasound scans and mammograms will be conducted in a fully equipped radiological centre either within the same building or within 5 minute walk from Orchard Building.
Within two weeks after your health screening, your test results, summary of any problems and recommendations will be compiled into a professionally bound medical report and presented to you for your own safekeeping. Our doctors will review the medical report with you and clearly explain the significance of the tests done.
